Hi! Avid achieved great success with their newest SoftImage XSI package, mainly because it was rebuilt from scratch on top of an older version, sewing in full object-oriented interface for JavaScript.
The newest Photoshop also features a plugin (available at the Adobe website) allowing to write JavaScript code to automate many of its tasks, and already there is a great commotion around it in the Adobe forums. That brings me to my point: how about The Bat! having JavaScript support, for filtering and some additional actions as well..?
