I use two IMAP servers, on XP, I use MDaemon which also supports ACLs and NAMESPACE, in addition to the others, and in Unix/Linux, I use BINC (which stands for Binc is not Courier) :) .. both are fully RFC 3501 compliant. A few betas ago, I tried using the above Courier switch as a test, but it did not help, and provided problems. In general, I can have many connections at once to the same mailbox, and the servers use a standard FETCH command. I stopped building Courier several years ago, and went to Binc (Maildir format) for building production servers.
