Hi Tony,

Compress in TB! is Expunge in Mulberry. That should do as explanation. ;)
TB! deletes all messages which are marked as deleted, when you switch to
another folder.

Well it's not working, AT ALL! This is one of THE MAIN reasons I have
absolutely no confidence whatsoever in TB's IMAP ability. I delete
messages, scoot about to all different folders, shut TB down, open it,
scoot about a bit more and when I choose "Browse deleted messages" They
 are all still there!

This works just fine for me. Sorry.

That most certainly is not what Mulberry does. If I delete a post in
Mulberry, the next time I open the folder it's gone.

Yes, Mulberry just works and works - this is what I like.

What is strange is when I open Mulberry and open the inbox all the mail
that was supposed to be filtered into other folder and deleted from the
inbox is... Yes, it's all still there in the inbox.

Hmm, that is strange as well. These mails are there and *not* flagged as deleted? Opening Mulberry doesn't show them strike trough?
If that's the way it is, it is a real show stopper.

Can someone tell me what I have to do to get TB to delete mail for me
when *I* want it deleted and not when TB want's it deleted please.

Sorry, for me it's okay.

This for me is an absolute show stopper.

Agree with you. Consistency - where is it?
