I can confirm partially. If I press Ctrl+R several times in rapid
sequence, some times unread message count increase. If I wait for some
seconds, and press Ctrl+R again, the count comes back to the correct
value.
I think it is related with the fact that the unread message count is
decreasing (or increasing) slowly if you mark a big number of messages
as read (or unread) at the same time.
So, while the count is not jet refreshed, some thing is going a little
bit strange.
