You mean it could be a leftover from customization that were made before 3.5 final appeared. Well - I have no idea. :-) Maybe those who had the problem and had to delete tbuser.def can remember when they last made a customization, and when they last deleted the tbuser.def file (unfortunately, this files seems to be updated all the time, the filedate of mine is no indication for its age).
