Turn on the virtual memory column in Task Manager, and you'll see that The Bat always eats lots of memory, even if you minimize it. Windows always throws out as much memory of an application as it can when it is minimized; a very irritating, and in these days where memory is plentiful, nonsensical thing, but you can't turn it off, AFAIK.
