At the office, we have eight phone lines in. If you use the recall button the phone, it recalls the last number dialed on that line rather than the last number dialed. It means that the redial button is only good if you get a busy signal and want to dial again without disconnecting. You can't try a call, get no answer, do something else then go back to the phone and redial unless you checked to see what line you were on before. I have always wondered who on earth designed the system so it worked that way, and why they would. It seems to me that what you are asking for here is logical and the way it should work. It's just what I'd wish for for the phones as well. -- Dwight A.
