ThunderBird, Mulberry and Becky! simply do server count checks and then
stop at that. It would seem that TB! continues further and updates
message indexes for each folder.  This is despite having no sync
settings for all folders. While this makes the time between each
folders selection and starting to browse faster than with ThunderBird
and Becky, the time from starting to being able to browse without
delays can be disconcerting especially when there are many new messages
scattered across many folders.
