I have being quit silent over the past several months. Actually not
really contributing since I left Germany in August 2003. I know what
it means deciding on drastic changes in your life. Congratulation
Leif! Not that I wish you are leaving for good - you mentioned you
will stay around - but, each of use one day will hear the cry from
inside and there is a call for the 'wild'. This requires a cut, a
drastic cut, in order to successfully make such changes.
I cam to this list after the German TB! lists where shaken up. I want
to say, that I never regretted my move. I support your view that this
Community is "one of the friendliest and useful" ML. Despite at some
moments some members got pretty angry about Version Issues but it
never got out of hands. This is where you find the true soul of a ML.
It's rare on the Internet of today. And this is where your actual work
is reflected.
Leif, I like to thank you for all your kindness and dedication you
have put into the work of building this Community. You have done a
great work that many TB!versions and TB!users will benefiting for an
eternity.
What ever your reasons are, I am sure your decision is right. And I am
persuaded that you will find great satisfactions in your new life, way
and work. I wish you and your family all the best. We all gona miss
you - except in TB!ot :)
