Dutch spelling was changed in 2005.

I tried to import from a text file (from Open_nl) but that took so long I
interrupted the action.

They have a .dic file and one should be able to use such a file (one can
choose a file with such an extension, that is), but it did not work.

How large is your Office 97 file?  The Open_nl file is ± 1,95 MB...
