It referred to a behavior that most would think quite strange
(including me), but it is part of the mental health literature. I
don't find it offensive, any more than i am offended by the literature
about "frotteurs" who enjoy traveling by subway in large cities.

And may I add: ".... and with the mind driving the body able to say,
'I have done my best to make peace with, and inspire, everyone in my
world, including my own self, warts and all."
