I have run into MANY issues where settings do NOT get remembered under VISTA in either flavor 32/64. In most cases, you have to set the program to "run as administrator" in the properties dialog box in order to overcome this issue. Sometimes even that doesn't work! BTW, I have learned to hate VISTA!
