I use an ISP that does port 25 blocking (EARTHLINK). Normally I cannot
use any smpt server other than Earthlinks. Now for my second E-mail
account I use mochamail that allows an alternate smtp port # ie 2525
to connect with their smtp servers. This port 25 blocking is slowly
becoming widespread in US ISPs from what I have read in newsgroups
(earthlink mail, earthlink complaints). It might be something for you
to investigate since my ISP did announce its plans but alot of people
missed the announcements.
