It's not really related to Lotus *that* much, I think. It will work 
this way with any other e-mail app (I can reproduce it with 
sending *.txt files with Pegasus Mail and then reading them with 
TB, FYI) provided that it says
Content-type: text/plain 
n the subheaders of this textual attachment, as I've already 
written in  one of my previous messages.

Actually, I like this behaviour very much (i.e., displaying the 
contents of textual attachments on the tabs), coz otherwise one 
would need to double-click on such attachment in the 
attchments area --- and all that only to have Notepad 
launched... 

The only problem is saving such attachments --- this is clearly 
a oversight on the part of programmers, hope it will be fixed 
some day:-)
