No, you can't, as of now. Supposedly, MAPI will be added for TB ver.2, but it's
not expected to be implemented in the 1.xx series.
MAPI is a special protocol that in the case of e-mail clients makes it possible
for *any* application to communicate with your e-mail tool (e.g., to send the
current file via e-mail, etc.) without even knowing _which_ e-mail client you
are using.
The exist two flavours of MAPI: the so-called simple MAPI (which's a rather old
but simple protocol) and MAPI 1.0 (developed by M$) which's a *very*
complicated one. Nowadays, AFAIK, most applications can make use of
simple MAPI but not of MAPI 1.0, *but* all the M$-made applications (Office,
etc.) cannot use simple MAPI and thus insist on using MAPI 1.0 capabilities.
Thus, as you can see, M$ (as it's characteristic of it) has spoiled it, as
always...
