Hello fellow The Bat User Discussion List members,

In just a couple of minutes, I just Removed 493 Dupes in All
Folders. Now that's FFO.

Regarding \\arck's post Re: Flagging? (Which TB! lets me paste in as
a quote):

MP> The new version implements four new message highlighting features:

MP> 1) Priority - User modifiable priority for stored messages

3 tier. Right click + L, then N, H or L

MP> 2) Flagging - A simple, single flag feature ... "stick a flag on this
MP> message"

Ctrl+G

MP> 3) Memos - Memos can be added to messages

I don't see where to add them (not in "specials" or other part of
right click menu)

MP> 4) Colour - A completely user definable set of colour groups can be
MP> used to highlight messages. The colour groups are as
MP> numerous as you wish to make them with completely
MP> variable font, foreground and background colour.

How can these be set on the fly? I see that each can be edited but
Oliver's conception is right, this function should be programmable
via a command or filter or both, in order to be practical or
efficient. (The filter for source or subject, the command for
importance - although priority and flagging can be used there). I
would say that the latter two should be combined on a 5 level scale,
with the color an option of those, easily triggered via user
configurable commands.

OS> I like those color groups... Having those, I don't need any flagging.
OS> But it doesn't seem like I could use that Ctrl-G keystroke to set some
OS> color group instead of the flag.

OS> Another thing: There's a (new ?) filter category "replied messages".
OS> How can I use that one to set all messages I replied to to some color
OS> group, regardless of the folder they are in?

DH> IMO, flagging was a missing basic item that I myself had asked for
DH> starting with v.1.35. The flagging is bien venido in my book.

MP> IMHO there is a lot more to 1.42's message highlighting than any of us
MP> expected!

True. Or than some of us need, but it's still not bloat and the
columns can be used or not, and placed up front or in back. The
question is how to easily integrate this feature and apply it to
daily use.

The last things I'm hoping for include the ability to edit incoming
messages w/o having to put them in the outbox, as well as a virtual
folder column so I can see all incoming mail from all accounts in
the same place, w/o losing sight of the source of the message (like
Calypso). The ticker is not useful to me in this regard since much
of my mail is never read - but I still want to see it when it comes
in (not filter it to another folder - I hate changing folders just
to see what came in. The sub directory folder are made and used
discretionally, upon reviewing and evaluating content).

A lot of things are being integrated w/o additional cost to us
TB!teers (meaning, before v. 2's debut).
