Hi Richard, I too was being plagued by the same message although not from TB! I subscribe to Carbonite and had it set to automatically back up anything that appeared on the horizon. As a consequence any new file I might create was "locked" because Carbonite was backing it up and I would have to wait for that to complete before I could do anything with the file. The problem was compounded by the fact that at the time, like you, I had no idea why the file was locked. Enter "Unlocker". I found this free (or donation if you feel so compelled) program which tells you why the file in question is locked up. I downloaded and installed it so that whenever I right-click on the locked file, Unlocker would tell me what process had my file locked up. That's how I found out that it was Carbonite preventing me from accessing the file. Unlocker then gives me the option of un-locking the file right now, thereby giving me immediate access to the file once again. Give it a try. Here's their website: http://www.emptyloop.com/unlocker/ HTH. -- Best Regards, Jack LaRosa :usflag: Central Alabama Using The Bat! ver: 5.2.
