Sorry about the incomplete version of this reply ... it "got away"
from me - I went to press the Shift-2 (double quote on the UK
keyboard) and hit the Shift-F2 instead and the message went!
On 20 September 2000 at 12:23:52 GMT +0200 (which was 11:23 where I
live) Krister Ekstrom wrote and made these points on the subject
of "Reply templates yet again":

This was recently uncovered as a strange "quirk". If the folder
template is blank, then address book templates don't get used.
Here's how to fix it:
1 Make sure the default templates are set up.
2 Edit the blank folder template.
3 Select everything in it (the only was it can be blank
with (1) is if it contains empty lines/spaces.
4 Delete the white space.
5 Save the template and re-edit. It should now show
the default template.
That's it. Now your AB template should work perfectly. Yes, I know -
it doesn't make any sense.
