You are right. There is one more thing that bothers me:
When I close the window, I can choose "hide" and "show always", but
not "show automatically", which is my normal setting. So, after
closing the window, I have to go back to Options / Show Dial-Up / Show
Auto.

I know somebody asked this before, but I don't remember the answer:
Why is it under Options and not Tools?
