copy the whole Bat directory to a safe place and copy it back to SAME
location after install.
Then easiest is to run a full the bat setup over it to fix the
registry.
Question: have you tried ME on a spare drive to see if it likes your
hardware??
It can behave a bit the same way as Nt with strong likes and dislikes.
No DOS (!) unless you patch it and all in all I threw it off my system
after 2 weeks.
It isnt really a new version of windows, just added things and a step
on the way in MS attempts to dump Dos and get people moved to NT....
One big incompatible jump doesnt work so they try it in many small
ones.
Many older hardware addons donot work, no drivers.
