  Thank you Marck. First I ran the IE repair tool in sys tools, that
  did not work. I went into internet options and removed TB as my
  default e-mail client. IE still listed OE even though I uninstalled
  that program months ago, I set that as my default client and clicked
  a link. Of course got an error message. Reset TB as the default and
  clicked the link and it worked perfectly. I don't know why but I'm
  happy. Thanks again.
