Uhm, I assume that you know that for each message the filter rules are
serially checked starting from the top and working downwards. When a
match is found the checking is stopped and the same process is done
for the next incoming message.

Filter matching will however continue despite a match being found if
the filter rule which contains the string match has the option to
continue processing with other filters enabled. However, remember the
little detail that if the filter moves the message to another
location, the continued processing with other filters will not work
and the string matching with other filters will stop right there.

If you create a lot of filters, stay away from the quick filter
creation tool. It's inefficient (you end up creating more filter rules
than you need to create the desired effect) and it doesn't address the
importance of the fact that the order of the filter rules play a
critical role in the filtering working properly.
