There are two possibilities: Multiple memberships or incomplete
transfers.

Check the "You are subscribed as..." at the bottom of the messages and
make sure that all messages are for the same address.

Incomplete transfers is what you get when TB's connection to the
server breaks before TB has had a chance to tell the server to delete
the messages it has already read. This means that, next time TB
connects, it receives the same messages again.
