He can import the messages from Netscape, that's what I did when I
moved to TB, but he will have to manually redo the filters. You have
to convince him that it's worth it; as he is a support person, he will
use email a lot, and all the advantages of TB over Netscape will save
him a lot more time and headache than setting up these filters will
cost.

I mean legally. He sent you a mail and explicitely requested you (by
way of RFC header) to reply to the tech support address instead of the
from address.

I understand what you say about support emails. You are right with
your policy.

Right. Therefore, I would suggest to make TB mandatory. This way, he
can create an AB entry for you, which overrides the account's
reply-to setting.
