Sounds correct; it's the standard for stand-alone computers.

They are standard extensions for files associated with e-mail clients.
VCF is for electronic business cards (in German: VistenKartenFormat),
MSG is a MeSsaGe and EML is another format to do with EMaiL (I don't
know in the moment what it does exactly).

NS, OE, Outlook and even Eudora just grab those extensions and
whenever you double click on a file with it the programme will be
launched. If you want TB! as your standard e-mail client associate
them with it. Especially for VCF this is a good idea since it gets a
nice icon ;-).

With the next version (1.53) it will be possible to associate and
dessociate files after having installed TB!.

TCP/IP is the protocol used for data transfer. And a workstation in
this case is a stand-alone PC like yours. You won't gain anything in
using a server mode (or for that matter LAN) if you are not on a
local network as a server.

I gather you have a POP3/SMTP account for e-mail? Then you don't need
Web2POP, it is for getting mail from pure web-based services to POP
clients.

TB! is a fully functional e-mail client like Outlook, OE, NS or
Eudora, just with another interface and another feature set. If you
haven't had problems getting and sending mail with any of the
aforementioned you will not have problems with TB! on these basic
functions.

Most difficulties posted here are of a higher nature, that is in more
sophisticated functions (mass mailings, keyboard shortcuts etc.).

If you have further questions to set-up TB! correctly feel free to
ask, but always include necessary information, so we can find the
solution.

Yes I am, I hope it is not my bad English creating your feeling :-).
