Sounds like another prog (OE, IE, Outlook?) did grab the association.
As long as TB! is your preferred, and default, mailer it was not a
good idea to say "NO". It is an extension for messages (MIME coded
AFAIR) that should be shown with TB!.

When you upgrade to 1.53 you can re-associate all relevant file
extensions within TB!; you don't need to edit the registry.
