Hello Raj,

In your 'Sorting Office' there're five 'folders' .. the last (5th) is 'Selective
Download'.
The five points in 'Sorting Office' are inherited in different situations:
- 'Incoming Mail' is used for mail immediately after it is downloaded.
- 'Outgoing Mail' is used for mail immediately after it is sent.
- 'Read messages' I've no experiences with, but it should used when a message
switched from 'unread' to 'read'
- 'Replied messages' I've also no experiences with (yet) but I think it should
be used when you finished your reply to a mail
- 'Selective Download' is used _before_ the mail gets downloaded from server.
this means if you start a 'Get Mail' all headers of all mail on the server is
fetched, matched against the filter rules in 'Selective Download', necessary
actions are done and _after_ all filter rules where applied messages are
downloaded from server (of course only that mails not deleted on server by any
rule in 'Selective Download').
As David already stated using 'Selective Download' slows down general mail
fetch as first all headers have to be fetched and in a second step the mails
come in while in 'normal mode' mails come immediately without need of first
getting headers. So if your mail account is a high traffic one and you're not
connected via LAN or HighSpeed line you should maybe download all messages and
filter local.
