Further comments to earlier e-mail: I tried Atlantis Nova and found the kerning awful in smaller fonts e.g Arial 8-12, i.e. the gaps between the letters are uneven and irritating. NoteTab is plain text only. Wordpad is free but very poor in features. You could try Cwordpad (Cetis software) which is a slight improvement. But I still reckon Jarte is the best. Looks a bit gimmicky at first but packed with features underneath and really cool to use. DH> Thanks again to all who offered answers.
