I doubt it. As I have - in my reply templates - the cursor macro
defined two lines beneath the quotes macro and never had such a
problem.

Maybe he has some more macros, even regex defined in more than one
line *without* the "%-" macro, giving him some empty lines between
%QUOTES and %CURSOR?
