Unlike Netscape it has a "Use Mozilla Mail as the default mail application" checkbox in Preferences | Mail & Newsgroups. If this is not checked The Bat!, once the options described have been set up from within, remains the default mail package. Moral - uninstall Netscape and install Mozilla. After all, the first is based on (an older version of) the second ...
