You got some excellent answers, using regex, but being simple-minded,
I handle this situation with folders. I make a folder for the group
with its own templates for that group rather than fuss with address
book templates. When I want to send a message to the group, I click on
that folder and hit the new button. When I want to send a message to
an individual in the group, I just make sure that I've selected some
folder that uses that the default templates.
