eek!  Both Yahoo and Hotmail!  Are you a glutton for SPAM?  :-)

Aside from strongly recommending that you consider alternative
web/pop3 mail accounts (like perhaps accounts from gmx.net or other
more "reputable" web/pop3 providers), there are third party programs
that supposedly do what you want.

Web2Pop claims to support both Hotmail and The Bat!:
