Not for me, it doesn't. Wonder why. I just did a purge and compress, leaving two unread messages in the folder. Focus was lost, of course, after that, being only on the application title bar itself, and not within the program at all. But even after putting the focus back on the folder manually, then hitting Ctrl-, nothing. No movement of anything, anywhere.
