I've noted this as well. C> Without this, the sync tool does not provide much use and I have to C> backup and restore which can be a pain since my mail files are C> huge. I've come up with the same issue and gave it much thought. I now think that what we wish for should be made optional. Sometimes, you wish to synchronize a temporary installation with your regular one and I certainly wouldn't want all my mail from the regularly used installation to be deleted because they aren't present in the temporary one. How is the synchronisation process supposed to tell the difference between the two reasons and to decide whether or not deleting mail from the target installation is the appropriate thing to do? The only way that could be achieved would be to have an ongoing synchronisation record that spans synchronisations. I don't know how easily that can be achieved. So, it all comes down to just adding and not deleting any messages. I therefore understand why the limitation is currently there if there's no option to make the target installation a replica of the source installation. - -- ________________________________________ Allie C Martin (_ List Moderator and fellow end user __________________) PGPKey - mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=--=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= TB! v1.60c & Windows XP 5.1.2600 __ -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.0.6-2 (MingW32) iEYEARECAAYFAjylyDIACgkQV8nrYCsHF+JBxwCg4QvCyeWjvDMILmSrTxaF8vtL QNoAnRaHCCFuNxZRC79EBPSLGh3jgRKd =yN7k -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- ________________________________________________________ Current Ver: 1.60c FAQ : http://faq.thebat.dutaint.com Unsubscribe: mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Archives : http://tbudl.thebat.dutaint.com Moderators : mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] TBTech List: mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]
