SOmeone had a suggestion that was very easy and worked for me. In IE, Tools | Internet Options |Programs - change the default mail reader to something besides The Bat!. Close the reopen IE. Go back to the same place and change the default mail client back to The Bat!. Close IE then reopen IE. Now try and hopefully will be fixed.
