It doesn't. Your message would come through with a tick on the
envelope in the message list and an attachment showing a valid (or an
invalid) signature in the attachment panel.

You do need a certificate in your IE certificates repository to
perform signing. The certificate has to have been issued for your
email address and has to have been enabled for all purposes,
(especially email signing) on the "advanced" properties button in the
"Internet Options | Content | Certificates | Personal" tab.

Anyone else here think of anything I'm missing in this conversation or
am I the only one left reading this thread now? <g>
