PC> maybe they shouldn't be in the templates to begin with ? Well, it is the *minority* of users that involve themselves in discussion lists with on-line archives or whose emails end up posted somewhere on the web. In that context, signatures containing email addresses are safe and sound. I was addressing my remarks to a closed audience who *are* in that minority. Should they be in the default templates? Probably not. The problem with changing defaults mid-stream is that there are behavioural expectations - existing users expect their new account templates to have a certain format and content and may not be pleased by so fundamental a change. Version 2 is another story though and I intend to campaign for a change there. - -- Cheers -- .\\arck D Pearlstone -- List moderator TB! v1.62/Beta1 on Windows 2000 5.0.2195 Service Pack 2 ' -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.1.90-nr1 (Windows 2000) iD8DBQE9VmE5OeQkq5KdzaARAgqlAKCjBmtlWwxD+NCYevvrCMh+TrkanQCg9hua JkAW1goQuCYpd6Q9KA1f9jE= =8FDd -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- ________________________________________________________ Current version is 1.61 | "Using TBUDL" information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html
