I studied Computing and all I know about regular expressions I learned
from this list (and the German lists). ;-) You have already received
replies as to where to find more info on this. Also include the word
"tutorial" in your google search - there are some quite good ones.

The filter conditions you key in there are connected to the
condition(s) on the Rule tab by a logical OR.
