I use the Selective Download filter combined with the Message Dispatcher. You can write the strings in directly or make a text file containing any string you don't want, be it an address, domain or subject header. However, the mail dispatcher will deselect for download any string found within the number of lines downloaded, so on certain accounts I deselect <html>. Since I download 25 lines on the message dispatcher, that alone will eliminate a lot of spam, since undesirable words not appearing in the subject often appear in the first few lines. Furthermore, you can check suspiciously large files for a virus file, since the attachment's file name will be included in the headers. I can quickly scan a considerable number of messages rapidly checking message size, sender and the To: column, as well as looking for repeated messages. I can copy a string from any undesirable message to my text file without downloading it. Lastly, be very careful who you provide your email address to and use separate accounts for important correspondence and those provided to firms requiring one in order for you to download file or view an url. I'm satisfied with the results. -- Douglas ________________________________________________ Current version is 1.61 | "Using TBUDL" information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html
