I'm sure this is possible. You can set it up like the default account
with these exceptions:

In account properties general:
[ ]This account is the default for "mailto" URLs

In options:
[ ]Check mailbox at startup
[ ]Periodical checking
[x]Ignore "check all accounts" requests
