Such intolerance is what makes me uncomfortable. It reminds me of the rhetoric we hear here in the US . . .
I think analogy to smoking is rather inappropriate . . . the last time I checked, html mail hasn't killed anyone, or my using it (on rare occasion) hasn't harm your health in any way. . .

I agree with Kenneth. OE can get too many virus', the saving format always defaults, etc. and everyone has stationary and music, I like things simple, but using HTML for a sig line or colors would be nice.
