A couple of tips I found to improve navigation in the message list view. I have used these tips with JFW v4.51.119.
1. I reclassified the message list view to a list view. The class name was TListView or something like that.
2. I added a custom highlight color after highlighting a message. I found that this improved JFW's responsiveness in the message list view.
system configuration OS=windows 2000 all updates applied MB=Intel 865GDF processor=2.4GHZ ram=512MB.
