I think this could be keyboard layout related. With Ctrl-ß (which is
two keys left to Backspace on a standard german layout) it capitalizes
the whole word. Ctrl-´ (which is between ß and backspace) lowers the
whole word. The first character gets upped with ctrl-# (which is on
the edge of big enter and right shift).

I should have default keyboard settings.
btw: where are shortcuts stored? (where) in registry?
