Am I wrong in thinking that having the list traffic mirrored to a
private and secured NNTP server worthwhile. Those who wish not to have
the list traffic mirrored to a newsgroup may be assuming that the
newsserver would be public and that all and sundry can join and post.
Even moreso there's the concern for e-mail address harvesting by
spammers.
Password protecting the newsserver helps.
The news server for alt-n.com is secured. You need an account to
retrieve posts and post new messages there.
