Works fine here, v1.0 on WinXP and v0.8 on Mandrake.
Just be thankful you don't use IMAP or you'd be cursing The Bat! as vehemently as you're cursing TBird! For IMAP, TBird's 1.0 version is heads and shoulders above TB!'s 3.0 version. And as it is a young client, I'm sure many of the minor quirks will be worked out and major niceties will be added as time goes on.
