I want to register my frustration with the 3.5 upgrade. All of the shortcuts were lost. I had to recreate the ones that I had put into the previous version. There was no warning of this.
Some keyboard shortcuts are changed. I used to press <Ctrl><Enter> to put the message in the Outbox. Now that same command sends the message immediately. Maybe a minor change but an unsettling one. The customization is nice but a bit daunting. I created a toolbar and found myself looking everywhere to see the appropriate icons. It's nice to have choices but it would be nicer to have them arranged in a manner that made sense to the novice. One bug (I think). I can't seem to create a toolbar and use the 'Insert item as a child' command. I get an error and am kicked out of TheBat. Can anyone confirm this or tell me what I'm doing wrong? (I was trying to duplicate the appearance of the first two Standard toolbar buttons.) None of this is critical. What it does illustrate for me is that TheBat is a niche product with a loyal following. I can't see it becoming a mainstream product when things like this occur.
