First I missed the entire concept of templates, no matter what kind it
my be. Can't really see how to do without this, it is just to powerful
a feature to do without.
Secondly filtering. I currently filter a lot of mail the TB!. All of
my business contacts are filtered for incoming and outgoing mail so
all my mail is in one place. I found no way to filter outgoing mail in
Thunderbird.
Thirdly HTML rendering. I only switched to Thunderbird briefly because
of TB! serious lack of development in this area. I had several people
that send mail to me in this format and I needed to have a way to deal
with it. We can whine and complain about HTML mail being the spawn of
Satan all we want but the bottom line is that it is here to stay. The
issue of not seeing images is a major concern. It is true we can open
in a browser but why should we have to. This has been a major topic
over the last few years and doesn't look like it will ever be
implemented. My suggestion is allow the user to have a global setting to
accept images of not. Maybe even accept on the level of the address
book. After all, malicious code is not coming from out friends we trust.
Also right now there is a reply problem to HTML (not quoted) that is
annoying.
