Try this one, might be you'd like it...

It finishes in 2-3 minutes (with near to 400 folders in Mail directory +
some additionally separately backed up mail folders I have excluded
here).

      You need just the pkzip.exe utility, of some 50 KB, placed
      somewhere "on the PATH".

      Just adjust the addresses/file names, to suit yours, of course.

      And you may re{mov|plac}e the mammal "bullet", if it annoys you.
      (-:

Or simply if you don't want to know what happens at all, just use
this one...

///

@ECHO OFF
echo You don't want to know what happens now...
regedit /e "X:\TheBat\tb.reg" "hkey_current_user\software\rit\The Bat!"
pkzip -rPu -whs "v:\bkup\thebat.zip" "x:\TheBat\*.*"
pkzip -rPuo -whs v:\bkup\mail.zip X:\Mail\*.*
:END
CLS
EXIT

\\\

...or if you want to annoy someone, then this one...

///

@ECHO OFF
echo You'd like to know what happens now, but you can't... (-;
regedit /e "X:\TheBat\tb.reg" "hkey_current_user\software\rit\The Bat!"
pkzip -rPu -whs "v:\bkup\thebat.zip" "x:\TheBat\*.*"
pkzip -rPuo -whs v:\bkup\mail.zip X:\Mail\*.*
:END
CLS
EXIT
