Faculty Position in Cyber-Physical Systems Department of Electrical Engineering The USF Electrical Engineering Department invites candidates of significant professional distinction to apply for a tenured or tenure-track position scheduled to start in August 2013, at any rank, in Cyber-Physical Systems (CPS) with emphasis on security issues. The department is searching for an individual demonstrating evidence of conducting interdisciplinary research with demonstrated experience in innovative thinking. Preference will be given to candidates with a strong record of sponsored research activity in CPS areas that include smart grid, transportation systems, signal/information processing, communications systems and sensor networks. A doctoral degree in electrical engineering or related field is required. At the senior level, the successful candidate must have developed a strong externally funded research program, and at the junior level the successful candidate must demonstrate the potential to independently pursue and develop a strong research program, with an ability to obtain external funding from industry and/or government sources. At either level the successful candidate will have a commitment to excellence in teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels; and a commitment to outreach and service. The successful candidate will also possess strong collaborative and interpersonal skills and the ability to forge productive connections with research groups and other relevant units of the university.
