Dear All, Happy new year. The DANMS workshop submission deadline has been extended to January 18, 2013. Best regards, Workshop organisers CALL FOR PAPERS DANMS 2013 Sixth IFIP/IEEE International Workshop on Distributed Autonomous Network Management Systems Co-located with IM 2013, Ghent University, Belgium www.danms.org The 6th IFIP/IEEE Distributed Autonomous Network Management Systems 2013 (DANMS 2013) workshop is part of a series of workshops dedicated to advances in network management and the applications of new management principles in network design. This year the DANMS 2013 will be held on 31 May 2013 at Ghent University, Belgium. With the emergence of cloud computing, increasing IT capabilities and resources are provided as services, via the Internet for on-demand access at anywhere anytime. Networks provide the delivery platform for services and it is important for network operators to ensure the reliability of the delivery platform so that both service providers and consumers can trust and rely on the network. Many aspects of cloud services including, large number of services, rapid evolvement of service implementations, virtualized infrastructures, large number of users, lack of direct control over services, etc., make network operators face great challenges on network management for service delivery. DANMS 2013 will focus on “Managing Networks for Service Delivery”. Topics of interest include (but are not limited to) the following: • Enterprise class service monitoring and analysis for mobile networks • Efficient use of radio/network KPIs in service assurance • Monitoring and analysis approaches for service aware networks • Autonomic network management for service assurance • Case studies of cloud service assurance • Network analytics with evolving networks and services • Use cases of services for network or service management • Service management for heterogeneous networks • Network optimization and analysis focusing on various services • Use of semantics to enable service deployment, composition, and quality assurance • Service aware networks and service aware network management • Predictive analytics for network or cloud services • SLAs for cloud service assurance • Network management of virtualized infrastructures • Apply new techniques and technologies for cloud service assurance • Recommender systems for cloud service assurance • Resource modeling and planning for service and network management • Techniques for efficient gathering, distributing and processing monitoring data • Automated service provisioning and/or management across multiple service providers • Mapping of low-level network monitoring data to richer service level information • Insights from using streamed network/service monitoring data • Fault and performance management, diagnosis, and troubleshooting • End-to-end QoS and performance monitoring and management for enterprise networks • Metrics, techniques, and experiments for evaluating network management architectures • Opportunistic uses of similar services by customers Academic and industrial researchers are invited to submit full papers (6 pages, double column) describing original work relating to the topics presented. All manuscripts must be written in English and should be prepared in IEEE conference style. All submitted papers will be reviewed by the members of DANMS Technical Program Committee. All accepted papers will be published in IEEE Xplore. Papers will be withdrawn from IEEE Xplore in case the authors do not present their paper at the workshop. Paper submission deadline: Extended to 18 January 2013 Notification of acceptance: 18 February 2013 Camera-ready paper: 01 March 2013 Workshop date: 31 May 2013 A best paper will be awarded by the TPC among all the submissions.
